Performing at Kerri and Nick’s wedding at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, Georgia was nothing short of magical. This wasn’t just another gig—it was a full-circle moment. I had the honor of playing the harp for their proposal last year, a quiet, intimate moment filled with love and anticipation. Seeing that love blossom into a wedding celebration was deeply moving.
Barnsley Gardens, with its historic charm and lush fall foliage, provided the perfect backdrop. The air was crisp, the leaves golden, and the atmosphere brimming with joy. As guests arrived, I played a mixture of contemporary songs, setting a serene and elegant tone. When the Mothers processed I performed “What a Wonderful World”, setting the joyous tone. The attendants came down to “La Vie en Rose”. When Kerri walked down the aisle, the gentle strains of “Canon in D” floated through the garden, capturing the romance of the moment.
And as the sun dipped lower in the sky, I closed with “Here Comes the Sun”—a joyful nod to new beginnings and the light Kerri and Nick bring to each other’s lives.
This couple holds a special place in my heart. Their kindness, authenticity, and deep love for one another made every note I played feel personal. It’s rare to witness a love story from its proposal to its wedding day, and I’m so grateful to have been part of both chapters.
Here’s to Kerri and Nick—may their life together be as harmonious and beautiful as the music that celebrated their day.
